RESTORING BACKUPS IN LYTEC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Backing up your data is very important!&nbsp; You can schedule backups to run automatically in Lytec.&nbsp; You can schedule backups to run, daily, weekly, or as often as needed.&nbsp; If doing separate daily backups, or more than one in general, you\u2019ll need to repeat these steps for each one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Add<\/strong> to setup a new scheduled backup task.&nbsp; Leave the option, <strong>Backup Database<\/strong>, selected then click <strong>Next<\/strong>.&nbsp; Give the backup a path and name to write to.&nbsp; If you do not already have a designated backup folder, we recommend making one called \u201cLytec Backups\u201d on the C drive (<em>or any drive if you have more than one<\/em>).&nbsp;&nbsp; This will prevent the backup from growing too large over time.&nbsp; Click \u201cNext\u201d to continue.&nbsp; You can leave the \u201cName\u201d, \u201cDescription\u201d, and \u201cPassword\u201d blank on the next screen (<em>if you set a password here and forget it\u2026 it cannot be recovered<\/em>).&nbsp; Enter a <strong>Description<\/strong> for each scheduled backup task like \u201cMonday Auto-backup\u201d.&nbsp; You can adjust the <strong>Starting Date<\/strong> and <strong>Ending Date<\/strong> if needed, or just leave the <strong>Ending Date<\/strong> blank.&nbsp; Next select a <strong>Repeat Occurrence<\/strong> setting, this may change the <strong>Repeat Options<\/strong> choices to the right.&nbsp; Click <strong>OK<\/strong> when finished.&nbsp; Click <strong>Add<\/strong> to setup another scheduled backup, or click <strong>Close<\/strong> if finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To restore a backup, while logged in to that database\u2026 first make sure all other users have exited that database.&nbsp;
