With these<br>methods, you\u2019ll likely be placing the \u201cRending\/Individual\u201d Taxonomy in Box 24j (Shaded), and\/or the \u201cPractice\/Group\u201d Taxonomy in 33b. The requirements can vary from payer to payer, so please check with your payer for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To populate Box 24j (Shaded), you will need to utilize the \u201cProvider IDs\u201d tab for each Provider you\u2019ll be billing claims for. Go to Lists, then Providers. Select a provider, then go to the Provider IDs tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"893\" height=\"334\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Providers-in-Lytec.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-911\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Providers-in-Lytec.jpg 893w, https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Providers-in-Lytec-300x112.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Providers-in-Lytec-768x287.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 893px) 100vw, 893px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need to send a Taxonomy Code in Box 24j (Shaded) for ALL insurances, edit the \u201cAll\/All\/All\u201d line. If you need to send it just for a certain insurance, select and Edit that line. If you do not see an \u201cAll\/All\/All\u201d line, or one for the specific insurance you need to send it to, you can click New to make an entry.<br><br>Select Legacy Identifier 1, and enter the Rendering\/Individual Taxonomy Code. Click in the field to the right to enter the qualifier &#8220;ZZ\u201d (without quotation marks), this will populate Box 24i (Shaded). Go to Lists, then Standard Lists, then Practice. If you need to send it just for a certain insurance, select and Edit that line. If you do not see an \u201cAll\/All\/All\u201d line, or one for the specific insurance you need to send it to, click New to make an entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To populate 33b, select Legacy Identifier 1, and enter the Practice\/Group Taxonomy Code. Click in the field to the right to enter the qualifier &#8220;ZZ\u201d (without quotation marks), this will populate Box 33b. Click OK, then OK, when finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"760\" height=\"447\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/New-Practice-Tax-IDs.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-903\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/New-Practice-Tax-IDs.jpg 760w, https:\/\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/New-Practice-Tax-IDs-300x176.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Placing Taxonomy codes in Electronic claims, such as those sent using \u201cRevenue Management\u201d is slightly different, and there is one option that needs to be checked on Insurances.<br><br>To populate Loop 2310B (Segment PRV), you will need to utilize the \u201cProvider IDs\u201d tab for each Provider you\u2019ll be billing claims for. Go to Lists, then Providers. Select a provider, then go to the Provider IDs tab.<br><br>Edit the \u201cAll\/All\/All\u201d line, a specific Insurance line, or add a new line as needed\u2026 the difference being; Use the \u201cTaxonomy\u201d field instead of the \u201cLegacy Identifier 1\u201d field. Note; If set to \u201cIndividual\u201d, this will override practice settings.
