thus allowing stock to be tracked via reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14.\u00a0 To enter an Inventory Item, click <strong>Lists<\/strong>, then <strong>Transaction Codes<\/strong> on the main menu bar.\u00a0 Next click <strong>New<\/strong> on the right-hand side of the Transaction Codes Window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15.\u00a0 Enter a <strong>Transaction Code<\/strong>, such as <strong>NEEDLES<\/strong>, and a <strong>Description<\/strong>, like <strong>Blood Draw Needles<\/strong>, and set the <strong>Type<\/strong> to Inventory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16.\u00a0 Next click on the <strong>Defaults<\/strong> tab.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll most likely want to remove the check mark from <strong>Print on claims<\/strong>, and leave the <strong>Taxable<\/strong> and <strong>Charge patient only<\/strong> boxes un-checked, unless if insurance is to be charged.\u00a0 Each office needs to determine their own procedures and charges.\u00a0 If this is something that is billed to insurance you will want to enter the CPT code instead of an alpha-character Transaction Code, and will also want to enter the CPT code on the defaults tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>17.\u00a0 Next click on the <strong>Inventory<\/strong> tab.\u00a0 Enter the <strong>Retail Price <\/strong>(charge), <strong>Wholesale Price <\/strong>(your cost), <strong>Quantity on Hand<\/strong>, and <strong>Reorder at<\/strong> values.\u00a0 If you place a check mark in the <strong>Issue reminder when reordering is necessary<\/strong> box, a reminder will appear, while in the Charges and Payments window, when the &#8220;Reorder at\u2026&#8221; value is reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18.\u00a0 When supplies are replenished you can enter what was received by clicking the <strong>Receive inventory\u2026<\/strong>\nbutton at the bottom of this tab<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>19.\u00a0 Click <strong>Save<\/strong> when finished.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
