Username\/Login Name<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;Enter a name in the&nbsp;<strong>Full Name<\/strong>&nbsp;field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;Users can optionally be assigned to a&nbsp;<strong>User Type<\/strong>, allowing a pre-defined Security Profile to be assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;We will look at setting up User Types in a later section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;Setting an&nbsp;<strong>Expiration Date<\/strong>&nbsp;is also optional, if a date is entered the User Code will become Inactive, and un-usable once that date is reached\u2026 until a User with appropriate permissions can &#8220;re-activate&#8221; the login.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;Next enter a&nbsp;<strong>Password<\/strong>, and enter the same value in the&nbsp;<strong>Verify Password<\/strong>&nbsp;field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you want the value entered in the previous step to be a temporary password, which the user can change upon next login, place a check mark in the&nbsp;<strong>User must change password at next login<\/strong>&nbsp;box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;If the user will be accessing the mobile app (<em>for Android and iOS<\/em>), you can set a&nbsp;<strong>Mobile Pin<\/strong>&nbsp;now, or the user can set one when they login to the mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.&nbsp;&nbsp;Lastly you can choose if the user is able to view&nbsp;<strong>all tabs<\/strong>, or just&nbsp;<strong>the Patient Information tab only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. Click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>&nbsp;to save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11. To further adjust security settings for a user, highlight that User Code and click the&nbsp;<strong>Security Profile\u2026<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/images\/image002-3.png?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>12. You can grant or deny access to different areas of the program using Security Profiles.  Place a checkmark to grant access, or remove a check mark to deny access.  You can also use the Select All button to quickly grant all permissions, and then remove check marks one at a time, or use the Unselect All button to remove all access, then add check marks one at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/images\/image003-3.png?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>USER TYPES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;On the main menu bar, click&nbsp;<strong>Admin<\/strong>, then&nbsp;<strong>User Types<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;To setup a new type, click the&nbsp;<strong>Add\u2026<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/images\/image004-3.png?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;Enter a&nbsp;<strong>Type Code<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>ex: Staff, Biller, Manager, Limited, Full Access, Administrator<\/em>), then enter a&nbsp;<strong>Description<\/strong>&nbsp;for that type (<em>ex: limited access, scheduler only,&nbsp;etc\u2026<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;Click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>&nbsp;to save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;With a User Type highlighted, click the&nbsp;<strong>Security Profile\u2026<\/strong>&nbsp;button to adjust permissions for that User Type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;The User Type permissions can be adjusted just like the User Code permissions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(<em>as seen in the previous topic at step 12<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;Once a User Type has been created and its Security Profile has been adjusted, you can assign User Codes to a User Type.&nbsp;&nbsp;The User Type security profile will override the User Code security profile if used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;To assign a User Type to a User Code, click&nbsp;<strong>Admin<\/strong>, then&nbsp;<strong>User Security Profiles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlight a user code then click the&nbsp;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&nbsp;button.&nbsp;&nbsp;Click the magnifying glass icon next to&nbsp;<strong>User Type<\/strong>, select a code, then click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to enable the audit trail to track user activity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-vimeo\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/348463939\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp; On the main menu bar, click Admin, then Audit Trail<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"384\" height=\"210\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image-13.png?resize=384%2C210&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-727\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image-13.png?w=384&amp;ssl=1 384w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/image-13.png?resize=300%2C164&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Audit trail reports will not pickup past activities unless it was enabled at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.  You can expand the 6 categories by clicking the + next to each item.<br><br>5.  Check or un-check items, depending on whether or not you want the audit trail to track those items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.
