then\u00a0<strong>Providers<\/strong>, on the main menu bar.\u00a0\u00a0Note that  this area is for the providers that practice at your location.\u00a0\u00a0This is not for Referring\u00a0or other providers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/images\/image001-4.png?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;On the&nbsp;<strong>Provider Information<\/strong>&nbsp;tab, enter the&nbsp;<strong>Full title<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>Name, and Credentials<\/em>),&nbsp;<strong>Last Name<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>First Name<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Address<\/strong>, and contact information (<em>Telephone, etc.<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the Reference section, optionally enter the provider&#8217;s Social Security #, TAX ID, State License, Specialty License (<em>Taxonomy Code<\/em>), DEA Number, or UPIN.&nbsp;&nbsp;Note; These IDs fields are not normally used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the Claim section, it is recommended to check the&nbsp;<strong>Signature on File<\/strong>&nbsp;box, and&nbsp;<strong>Medicare Participating Provider<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>if the provider is one<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0Also in the Claim section of the Provider Information tab, there is a\u00a0<strong>Default<\/strong> <strong>Location Code<\/strong>\u00a0box.\u00a0\u00a0If your provider practices at multiple locations you can specify one to be the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;At very least a&nbsp;<strong>National Provider ID<\/strong>&nbsp;needs to be entered on the&nbsp;<strong>Provider ID&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;tab (<em>unless the provider and practice NPI are the same, in which case the NPI entered for the practice will default as the provider&#8217;s NPI<\/em>,<em>&nbsp;however it is still recommended to enter the NPI here<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalbilling.net\/Lytec-Blog\/images\/image002-4.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0To setup a Provider ID \/ Insurance Carrier relationship, click the\u00a0<strong>New<\/strong>\u00a0button at the  bottom of the screen (<em>the other \u201cNew\u201d button, on the right-hand side of the screen is to enter another Provider<\/em>). <br><br>8.\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0<strong>New Provider IDs<\/strong>\u00a0window will appear.\u00a0\u00a0Here you can specify an ID to be used for:\u00a0\u00a0All Insurance Companies, a specific company, or all Insurance Companies in a category.\u00a0\u00a0This can also apply to all Facilities, or a specific Facility.\u00a0\u00a0You can also have the NPI, Taxonomy Code, and SSN or TIN\/EIN pull from the practice, or specify a different one.\u00a0\u00a0Mammography Cert number, CLIA Number, Care Plan Oversight number, and other Legacy IDs can also be entered here if required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;Click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>&nbsp;when finished, then
